Community Supported Outpatient Treatment
Outpatient Treatment in Santa Fe & Gallup
Leaving residential treatment is a challenging transition, and adjusting to family, work and social commitments can be overwhelming. This is why outpatient treatment is such an important part of the recovery process.
People may enter outpatient treatment for various reasons, such as to step-down from residential services, to seek treatment while not qualifying for residential services, to maintain other commitments, or to meet legal requirements. Anyone seeking admission must be screened and evaluated in-person to determine suitability for outpatient treatment.
We offer Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) and Regular Outpatient Treatment (ROP). Both programs are structured to help you develop resiliency, establish healthy routines, learn coping skills and stress management, and acquire a sober network and other resources for ongoing support.
IOP is a 16-week program that provides 9 hours-per-week of services while ROP is generally a 12-week program with a typical commitment of 3 hours per week. Both programs use an evidence-based approach and employ therapeutic, educational, social, recreational, and vocational strategies to support you on your path to lifelong change including:
- Individual, family and relationship therapy
- Relapse-prevention
- Drug and addiction education
- Work and life-skills training
- Peer-based support groups – offered in the daytime and evening
- Experiential and interactive therapies like art therapy, somatic therapy and music therapy
Our IOP program is based on the Matrix Model, an empowering evidence-based, multi-format program based on a non-judgmental, non-confrontational approach to care. The model incorporates:
- Early recovery
- Relapse prevention
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Family education
- Social support
- Individual counseling
- Group therapy
- Twelve-step facilitation
- Psychoeducation
- Drug screening
